Hello, and welcome to the library! My name is Mrs. Greenfield, and I am the librarian for Ledgewood. I began working at Ledgewood as an aide in kindergarten and with the students in the PIP program and then moved into the librarian position in 2014. Previously, I taught 3rd grade for six years in another district. I am married and the mother of four children. I am a chocolate aficionado and animal lover with a soft spot for lizards, who treasures spending time in nature, and, of course, reading. I will read just about anything that I can get my hands on but my favorite genre is historical fiction.
I truly enjoy being able to read to your children each week and help them to select books that interest them. It is exciting to watch as they all blossom and grow into readers themselves. Maya Angelou said, "Any book that helps a child form a habit of reading, to make reading one of his deep continuing needs, is good for him." I couldn't agree more.
My goal for the Ledgewood Library is to provide a fun, comfortable, and safe learning environment that meets the needs of each student and encourages a life-long love of reading.
